Full Service: Brief to Handover

One team, one accountable contact, one stamped engineering pack. We handle the full lifecycle of your hangar.

Most hangar problems start in the gaps between trades: the structural engineer who never spoke to the door supplier, the foundation contractor who never saw the column reactions, the electrical team who arrived after the steel was already painted. We close those gaps by running the full chain in-house: design, engineering, fabrication, coatings, doors, electrical coordination, installation, and aftercare.

For every project, you get a single point of contact, a stamped engineering package, a procurement plan with lead-time visibility, and a handover folder you can hand to a lender, an insurer, or your facility manager. No surprises. No rework. No scope drift.

What We Cover

Eight services that together build, finish, and protect your hangar.

Site Assessment

Site survey, soil bearing capacity testing, drainage, slope analysis, and a regulatory check. We tell you what is buildable before you commit.

Engineering and Design

3D CAD modeling, finite element analysis, wind / snow / seismic load calculations, foundation design, and a full cost estimate stamped by a licensed PE.

Permits and Approvals

Building permit preparation, regulatory compliance verification, fire and safety code review, and engineering stamp on every issued sheet.

Steel Fabrication

Controlled shop fabrication of S355 steel, EN 1090 welding procedures, traceable mill certificates, and pre-assembly QA before shipping.

Protective Coatings

Sa 2.5 abrasive blast, epoxy primer, UV polyurethane topcoat, or hot-dip galvanizing for 70+ year service in aggressive environments.

Door Systems

Bi-folding, sliding, sectional, and overhead doors. We coordinate with door vendors during steel design so lead times are aligned and openings fit at first try.

Electrical and HVAC

Three-phase distribution, LED lighting, ventilation, climate control, and fire suppression hooks. Backup power and EV charging on request.

Site Installation

Foundation prep, crane plans, bolt-up records, door installation and testing, electrical commissioning, and final inspection. Site engineer signs off every milestone.

Aftercare and Maintenance

Optional quarterly inspection packages, paint touch-ups, door lubrication, gutter cleaning, and seal replacement. Typical cost: 0.5 to 1% of structure value per year.

Project Lifecycle: From Brief to Year 10

What working with Steel X Jordan looks like on a typical 6 to 16 week project.

WEEK 1

Brief and Site Visit

Initial call, technical brief, site visit, soil and access review. You receive a one-page scope confirmation.

WEEK 2-3

Concept and Quote

Concept layout, structural concept, door plan, indicative pricing, and a contract scope document.

WEEK 3-5

Detailed Engineering

3D model, finite element analysis, foundation reactions, anchor patterns, and stamped drawings issued for permit.

WEEK 4-6

Permits in Parallel

Building permit submission, fire and civil approvals, neighbour and authority coordination handled by our team.

WEEK 5-10

Fabrication and Coatings

Steel fabrication, welding inspection, abrasive blast, primer, topcoat, and packing for transport.

WEEK 8-14
